This clinic is a valuable opportunity for officials of all levels to refine their skills and contribute to the sport’s excellence. Our objective is to elevate the abilities of wrestling officials while fostering integrity and professionalism within the sport. Our sessions will cover the following essential skills for effective officiating:

  • Review of Scramble Situations

George Dixon is a a highly decorated and experienced official, joining us from South Carolina. His resume speaks for itself, and we are incredibly lucky to have him sharing both his experience and wisdom at our Clinic. George’s experience, in summary:

We are pleased to announce that joining us, in place of Carlus Mansel, who unfortunately had to withdraw his participation due to an unforeseen circumstance, is the highly decorated 2025 National Wrestling Hall of Fame inductee Steven Curtis. Steven comes with an impressive and varied officiating and evaluator experience. Here’s a list of his accomplishments for review:

  • 21 years as President and member of the Costal Wrestling Officials Association - retired

  • Officiated 9 ACC Championship Tournaments (2011-2020)

  • Officiated 4 Southern Conference Championship Tournaments (2006-2009) 

  • Officiated 1 Mid-American Conference Championship Tournament (2021)
